The 2012 Yonex Australian Badminton Open will carry the highest prize money (US$120,000) of any event played in the Oceania region. Being one of the last major tournaments offering Olympic qualification points, we can expect top players from over 30 countries to compete in this event. All five disciplines will be contested, men and women singles and doubles, and mixed doubles.

The tournament played at the Sydney Convention and Entertainment Centre, Darling Harbour, commences Tuesday April 3, and concludes with finals on Sunday April 8, 2012.
