The 2013 Yonex Australian Badminton Open will carry the highest prize money (US$120,000) of any event played in the Oceania region. The event attracts top players from over 28 countries in all five disciplines, men and women singles and doubles, and mixed doubles.

The tournament is staged at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, from Tuesday April 2, through to Sunday April 7, 2013.
